Ocean Retreat 2017

August 5-12, 2017 at YogaRocks Crete, Greece

The Ocean of Awareness

Nora Heilmann and Tamar Samir are delighted to be offering another transformational summer retreat at YogaRocks. The proximity of the ocean has inspired us to look deeply into the spiritual and environmental relevance of the earth’s blue lung. Many references in the sacred texts of yoga describe our true nature as an ocean of awareness. All life on earth depends on the inner balance of that ocean.

This week will take you on a deep journey into Self-exploration through walking and seated meditation, pranayama, yoga philosophy, and dynamic vinyasa classes. Together we will co-create an inspiring week of conscious living, close to nature. One full day will be spent in silence (mauna).

Nora and Tamar have both been teaching yoga, meditation and philosophy for 10 years. They come from a background in visual and performing arts and love to explore and share the art of conscious living. Their teaching style has been influenced by Ashtanga, Iyengar, and classical Hatha Yoga, Buddhist Zen meditation, veganism, environmental awareness, philosophy, and music. They love to facilitate an open sharing of yoga practice as a collective movement towards wisdom, kindness, and peace between all species on planet earth.
