Ocean Retreat 2018

May 19-26, 2018 at YogaRocks Crete, Greece

The Ocean of Awareness

Nora Heilmann and Tamar Samir are delighted to be offering another transformational retreat at YogaRocks, this time in late spring. The proximity of the ocean has inspired us to look deeply into the spiritual and environmental relevance of the earth’s blue lung. Many references in the yogic texts describe our true nature as an ocean of awareness. All life on earth depends on the inner balance of that ocean.

This week will take you on a deep journey into Self-exploration through meditation, pranayama, dynamic vinyasa classes, thematic afternoon workshops, restorative, and yoga philosophy. Together we will co-create an inspiring week of conscious living and collective sharing. There will be plenty of time to play music, chant mantras and enjoy the chilled out vibe at YogaRocks swinging in a hammock under the stars. If you play a musical instrument, please bring it along! Mornings until breakfast will be spent in silence (mauna).

Nora and Tamar have both been teaching yoga since 2007. They come from a background in visual and performing arts and love to explore and share the art of conscious living. Their teaching style has been influenced by Ashtanga, Iyengar, Vinyasa, Jivamukti, classical Hatha Yoga, Buddhist Zen meditation, and the study of yoga philosophy. They love to facilitate an open sharing of yoga practice as a collective movement towards compassion, kindness and peace between all species on planet earth.
