Nora is a Brooklyn-based yoga teacher and movement educator sharing the practices of asana, pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy, and yogic ethics. She is passionate about environmental consciousness, species and gender equality, veganism, and non-hierarchical forms of collectivity. She also likes to make music on the didgeridoo and handpan.

Nora studied a variety of yoga styles: Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Hatha Yoga, Restorative, Pranayama, and Meditation. She had many wonderful teachers who have communicated different aspects of yoga. Her own teaching practice is a remix of those teachings, personal research, and constant experimentation with re-shaping yoga for the needs of the contemporary practitioner in an always changing world. Nora has completed over 1600 hours of teacher training in yoga and meditation and has been teaching since 2007. She is a guest lecturer at the 300-hour YogaWorks Advanced Teacher Training and regularly leads immersions, retreats, and workshops locally and abroad. She also teaches didgeridoo classes through DidgeProject in Brooklyn.

Originally from Germany, Nora lived in Amsterdam for 15 years where she worked as a choreographer and performance artist, before moving to New York City in 2013. She lives with her wife Tamar and cat Emme in Brooklyn.
