Being Awake

May 7, 2017

In meditation we are cultivating a capacity for stillness, intimacy and coming into contact with our basic goodness. Breath by breath we work to hold the quality of courage: we connect rather than escape, find liberation instead of reinforcing habit, build generosity instead of resentment. Our lives happen in the present moment. Our true selves are who we are right now. Nothing stays the same. Meditation is opening to the ever-changing moment and experiencing ourselves as flow. Meditation helps people turn toward their experience, suffering and reactivity in a friendly way.
